Hollywood’s New Noah

In the past year or so, Hollywood has developed a new fascination with Biblical tales and adventures. The Bible Miniseries kicked open the gates on new incarnations of classic tales. Looking to the scriptures for inspiration is not really new. From the Left Behind series that’s based on the book of Revelation all the way to the prophets and kings, the Bible’s been made into a lot of films. Even though it all comes from the same source material, the quality and storytelling varies greatly.

The most current production that’s in the front of everyone’s mind is Noah with Russell Crowe. Slated to open in 2014, this star studded feature has a very different Noah than any we’ve seen previously. The trailer released this week and I admit that when I saw it, I was intrigued.
